Over the summer of 2021, visitors who passed by were met with the art project NATLYS created by Signe Moos and MOOS LAND-SKABER APS. It was designed specifically for Andebakkesøen in front of Møstings Hus, and the project was carried out due to Møstings’ vision about moving the culture out of its usual settings.

Light summer nights full of magic
The framework for the art project, NATLYS, was the yellow flower, that would wake up and shortly unfold in a fantastic scenery, during the summer nights. Andebakkesøen was the location for the artwork, where floating cork islands with meter high evening primrose got illuminated in a delicate citrus-like color.

With her work, Signe Moos created the setting for an artistic experience about human relations with nature in the middle of the city – and with a visit in the garden, the spectators were invited to digitally contribute with their visual experiences of the blossoming. Selected motives were put up on transparent plexiglass along the bank.

The background for the project
NATLYS was chosen based on an Open Call by Møstings Hus and Frederiksbergmuseerne, who wished to unfold the open space around Møstings Hus in new and inviting ways, and where social communities would be able to find room to flourish.

Møstings Hus was the recipient of a total of 34 proposals from a broad and very qualified field of artists and architects from Denmark and abroad. By choosing NATLYS as the winner, a focus was put on spectator involvement and sensuous qualities as well as an interaction between the surroundings and the artwork.

The project was carried out with support from Frederiksberg Fonden and Beckett-fonden.
