In the fall of 2024, artists Misja Thirslund Krenchel and Mo Maja Moesgaard will present an exhibition that explores domesticity both as our daily interaction with the objects that organize our space and as the dreams, longings and concerns that the home contains.

Møstings has previously served as a private summer residence and has subsequently been preserved, listed and carefully relocated from its original location. The house thus contributes to a debate about hierarchies, priorities and economic decisions. Using this as a framework, the exhibition reflects on the home as a place that is simultaneously a sanctuary from the world and pressured by notions of how we should live, as well as by policies that preserve some homes and demolish others.

The exhibition asks, what counts as a home? And it creates images of the home as a place we can simultaneously lose, a place we have lost, a place we can dream of, and a place we already have.

In fabric, linoleum and concrete, the artists highlight the details of the home, offering the audience a sensory, locally rooted, and personal perspective on domesticity.

Exhibition opening: Friday, September 13th, 2024, from 5-7 PM

The exhibition is supported by Statens Kunstfond, Det Obelske Familiefond and Arbejdernes Landsbank
