Cisternerne

Water reservoir, stalactite cave, and art exhibition. Come underground and experience a total sensory experience with world-class art installations. The old water reservoir is dimly lit, creating an atmosphere of fascination and enchantment for both children and adults. Each year, we invite an internationally recognized artist or architect to create an exhibition specifically for the underground space - an exhibition that stimulates all senses and harmonizes with the Cisternernes unique architecture, climate, ambiance, and history.

Tickets are valid for one year from the date of purchase.

The exhibition period for Cisternerne is from March 17th to November 30th, 2024.

Practical information

Accessibility - Unfortunately, it is not possible to access Cisternerne in a wheelchair.
Strollers and Prams - These cannot be brought inside. However, you are welcome to park them inside or outside the entrance pyramid.
Animals - Only guide dogs and certified service dogs are allowed in Cisternerne.

Children and teens under 18 have free entry to Cisternerne.
